Artech Realtors has joined the select list of builders in India to have three certificates from BSI. It has received ISO 9001-2008 (QMS) Quality Management System Certificate, ISO 14001-2004 (EMS) Environment Management System and 18001-2007 (OHSAS) Occupational Health & Safety Administrative System Certificates from the BSI. These certifications together will enable the company to have the highest standards for an Integrated Management System.
Achieving ISO 9001-2008 is an important step for a company which has strong commitment to quality management. It demonstrates its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory or regulatory requirements. Speaking to the press, Mr. T.S. Asok, Managing Director of Artech said “Since its inception, Artech’s focus has been on high quality, exemplary service and timely delivery. This has contributed immensely to the trust that people place on the Artech brand. Almost all project launches are greeted with excellent responses.”
Talking about the ISO 14001-2004 (EMS) certificate, he said, “In a world where environment has become a concern, there’s a lot a builder can do to make a project eco-friendly, during and after construction. It enables residents to live in a healthier environment. Securing an ISO 14001-2004 means that Artech meets the international standards that specify a process for controlling and improving a company’s environmental performance. It not only monitors and optimizes the environmental aspects of the company’s business activities but also proves that the company cares about the environment. It demonstrates Artech’s commitment to effective environmental management.”
The third certificate that Artech received is the 18001-2007 (OHSAS – Occupational Health and Safety Management System), which has been developed to be compatible with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems. It provides a framework for managing OHS responsibilities so they become more efficient and more integrated into the overall business operations. OHS Management systems are based on standards, which specify a process for achieving continuous improvement in OHS performance and legislation compliance.
To a builder, these mean higher customer satisfaction, greater energy efficiency, embedded safety culture with lower accident rate, effective joint ventures and partnerships and greater protection of commercially sensitive data. “These certifications are testimonials of Artech’s commitment to home seekers of Kerala.” Mr. Asok added.
With 53 projects and 5 million square feet of construction, Artech has a wide range of offerings ranging from super luxury to premium, which caters to different income groups. This is in accordance with the company’s mission of ‘Building Happiness’ by bringing quality construction to all sections of the society. Artech has also announced more projects, planned as part of its pan Kerala expansion programme.
